Impossible Conversations | IN ASSOCIATION WITH QPAC INTERNATIONAL SERIES 2018
Artist talk held at the Museum of Brisbane 12 October 2018
Inspired by Vanity Fair’s bitingly satirical 1930s series Impossible Interviews, this collaborative project driven by the Queensland Performing Arts Centre and Museum of Brisbane, brought together nine Brisbane residents to imagine a conversation they would like to have with a chosen figure from Italian history. The results were presented in both venues in honour of the 2018 visit of Milan’s La Scala Ballet to Brisbane for the QPAC International Series.
Working with writer Mary-Rose MacColl and artist Sam Cranstoun, we each interpreted the connection each local identity had made with the historical figure through our work.
